In part two of their conversation, Meltem Demirors, CoinShares’ Chief Strategy Officer, and Matt Bird, Host of the Traders Network Show, delved more into how average investors can access digital currency.

“The [top] question[s] for average investors is what is Bitcoin, what is a digital currency, why should I care, and how should I get exposure?” Demirors said at the 2019 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

“The fundamental question I try to answer when I think about our products is where is value going to be created, but, more importantly—what people don’t talk about—is where is value going to be captured and materialized in the form of money in someone’s bank account,” she said.

Demirors explained that average investors need to know they can get into and out of an asset quickly and can reallocate their money if their feelings about crypto change.

“I see our role as, number 1, let’s give them products that they can use that are regulated. Number 2, that are safe, three that are constructed in a manner that gives them liquidity and stability and all these features that we’ve come to expect from income funds,” Demirors said.
